Breeze Airways will now be flying nonstop to San Bernardino, California, from Provo approximately twice a week beginning in February, the airline announced on Thursday.
Currently, Breeze offers flights from Provo to San Bernardino through San Francisco, with flights quickly stopping in SFO without changing planes before continuing on to San Bernardino.
The direct, nonstop flights will begin on Feb. 7 and will operate about twice a week, according to the airline’s website. “Breeze thru” flights to San Bernardino, which include a stop in San Francisco with no plane change, are still listed on the website a couple of times a week. For February, one-way flights begin at about $39.
The airline will also have “Breeze thru” flights to San Francisco that stop in San Bernardino first, also without changing planes. Those flights are listed on the airline’s website starting on Feb. 7. (There are still nonstop flights to SFO available).
This will be Breeze’s seventh nonstop route out of the Provo Airport. The airline also has two “Breeze thru” routes, meaning a stop at another airport without changing planes, to Grand Junction and Montrose, Colorado. Breeze also has one route out of the Ogden-Hinckley Airport to the John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California.
Along with Breeze, Allegiant Air and American Airlines also operate flights out of Provo, with destinations across the country, including major airline hubs like Phoneix Sky Harbor International Airport and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
